MiataCage.Com has built a suspension jig designed to check every front and rear suspension component for the 90-05 Miata. Build from all brand new parts supplied by Mazda, the jig is designed to check suspension components when they are off the car, to make sure they are straight and true.
The parts are first put in the jig to see if they fit, then the appropriate bolts are installed to make sure they fit cleanly through the holes without any bind. It is extremely difficult to see with the naked eye a bent suspension part. With the jig, it locates even the slightest of imperfections in the part.
This is a great tool for locating that nice short upper control arm if you have multiples and spares to help you gain more camber.
Below is an example of a rear upright that has been bent. By the naked eye, you would never know that it has been bent, but once on the jig, you can clearly see that with the upper bolt in place, the upright is severly bent.
This is a great way to check your spares, or during initial construction, you can determine which parts you may need to order new.
Pricing is $20.00 per part to check, or the whole car for $125.00. Please contact us for more details. |
