Relocating your battery to the trunk and wiring it for a battery disconnect switch just got a whole lot easier.
Mazda Motorsports has developed a series of high end parts to help make this process simple. The flagship component is a motorsport grade battery disconnect system that offers an all-in-one solution.
The total system consists of 6 key components that can be purchased individually or as a kit. The components are:
- Battery Disconnect - Not NC specific and can be used on any vehicle.
- Battery Disconnect Installation Plate - Specific to the 2006-2015 Mazda Miata uses existing studs and bolt holes on the car. No drilling required.
- Wiring Harness - Specific to NC 2006-2015 Mazda Miata. Other models coming soon!
- Battery Cable Kit - Specific to NC 2006-2015 Mazda Miata. Other models coming soon!

- Fire Suppression Trigger Kit - If your fire systems goes off, we can automatically shut off the kill switch.
The Battery Disconnect Switch - This compact battery disconnect switch comes with heavy duty 3/8” mounting studs and offers a built-in alternator and fire safety interrupt. It has less than a 0.5a draw and a vibration rating 10x higher than the leading competitor.
The system is rated for up to 16v, with a 500a surge rating and a 100a continuous rating. LED light(s) change with the disconnect’s status, offering quick and easy troubleshooting.
This disconnect is built compact and we offer an optional trunk mounting bracket that puts the switch very close the battery and utilizes existing threaded holes/studs for mounting.
The Wiring Harness - The harness makes install a breeze as it was designed to be a plug-and-play solution for your NC Miata. The harness is built using Mil-spec Tefzel wire and is encapsulated in an expandable braided sleeving, eliminating the bulky wiring and ugly split-loom sleeving normally associated with most aftermarket or add-on harnesses.
Our design leaves the customer with a harness that’s smaller, tougher, stronger, and more aesthetically pleasing than your typical automotive harness. The kit comes complete with a status light and (2) toggle switches, allowing the driver easy access to the disconnect and its status via the cockpit. There are a total of (3) pre wired pig tails for toggle switches to disconnect the battery. One is located on the B-Pillar, one is located in the center stack and one is located on the drivers side of the dash near the forward facing vent.
One end of the harness connects to the battery disconnect switch and the other end of the harness has several termination points.

The Battery Cable Kit - This kit comes complete with pre-terminated battery cables that are specifically designed for your NC Mazda Miata 2006-2015. The kit consists of 3 fully dressed cables with the proper heat shrink and lug insulators necessary for a clean and safe connection. The cable itself is made of 100% copper and is built with a high-strand count. Compared to standard copper plated battery cables, this kit offers much higher heat dissipation and allows the cables to be much more flexible and workable when completing installs.
- Ground Cable - Goes from the negative terminal on the battery to the chassis.
- Power Cable (short) - Goes from the positive terminal on the battery to the battery disconnect switch.
- Power Cable (long) - Goes from the batter disconnect switch to the starter and then back to to the fuse box.
The Battery Relocation Kit - This lightweight kit comes complete with a tray and all mounting hardware to mount your Odyssey ODS-AGM28 (Formerly PCL925) battery in upper passenger side of area of the trunk. Battery tray is made form 6061 T6 Aluminum with a polyester strap, velcro and pin for retention.
