New and included for Version 4 of the MiataCage custom roll cage kit are the following:
New style front perch. The V3 perch when assembled was a 3 piece square front perch. The V4 perch is now a laser cut perch from round tube that fits the rocker panel without any modification of grinding at all. This saves a tremendous amount of time during the installation process, and it makes it that the perch is rounded so that there are no right angles or sharp corners, near the drivers foot. In the event of an accident the rounded perch is going to be a much safer design for the driver.
 
Kill switch plate. Laser cut to the fit into the corner where the seat brace bar and main hoop come together on the passenger side of the car. This plate is laser cut to work with our Taylor kill switch.
Included in version 3 of the MiataCage roll cage kit are the following:
The seat brace bar is now 1 piece (used to be 2) from the drivers side of the main hoop to the passenger side of the main hoop. Since the seat brace bar is now 1 piece, the main hoop diagonal is 2 pieces. The reason for the change is that now you can install the seat brace bar at the appropriate seat belt position without having to add additional tubes to achieve the proper seat belt angles.
There is now an additional bend in the main hoop. We have added a very slight bend in the main hoop on the drivers side, to help gain a little more clearance for the shoulder wings on most seats.
The Main Hoop landing plates have been redesigned to be a little smaller in an attempt to provide a little more room between the seat and the package tray
